FLOPPY FISH

Description

This is a game which you tests your limits. Scientists are conducting an experiment; they want to find out if fish are capable of more complex intelligence. You become Fish 725, the first fish to pass the initial examinations. You need to prove your intelligence to the scientists to show what fish are TRULY capable of.

Use P or Esc (preferably P within the browser) to pause.

Pretty sure the exit game buttons don't work because they were made for an application, so just don't use them.

Anything else

This is my first published game that I made in roughly 3 days and a half for April 2024 FishFest (slightly late).

The game and the art are made by me. The sound effects were jointly made between me and my sister, Claudia. The music was made by Claudia (best part of the game not gonna lie).

The subtitles are slightly wonky in some places and it definitely has a lot of bugs to say the least, but hopefully its playable. Please tell me all of your thoughts, I'm very new to all this.

The videos "How to add sound effects the right way" by Sasquatch B and "Unity Subtitles for cutscenes with multiple lines/phrases" by Vincent Adinolfi were very useful. Do recommend.

Enjoy!

Good fun, addictive, challenging and floppy, with great retro music. 10/10.

First of all, let me applaud you for not only developing a fabulous, addictive experience that I have not been able to put down for the 7 and a half hours that it has been active. But also for providing a game that could give geometry dash a run for its money. The mechanics and strategies applied to this game have tested my intelligence beyond it's limits and I genuinely believe that this experience has improved both my strategical thinking, and my world view. This game has given me a new perspective on the beneficiaries of life and it is an indisputable fact that I will live every day better because of it. The game itself truly allowed me to explore the extent of my floppiness and slippiness. Furthermore, I was entranced by the superb music that greatly supported the floppy experience, allowing me to truly immerse myself and enjoy the game to it's utmost potential, props to Claudia for composing it. For a first game I personally believe that not a single person could consider it to be "crappy". And the creator has an exceedingly promising future ahead of them. My future has been brightened looking forward to the next few weeks spending hours attempting to speedrun this game, and I welcome any to challenge my speedrun attempts. Its possible that I might contract myself a disease to get some time off school to work on my floppy endeavours. I am truly grateful to the creator for allowing the gaming community to experience yet another wonderous creation, and I certainly look forward to the creator's future contributions.
